More About the Area

This undiscovered corner of northwestern Wisconsin is a bit off the beaten
tourist path. But that's OK; the people who live here are just fine with that.

Nearby, you'll find abundant lakes, streams, trails, and public land. You'll also, however,
find plenty of restaurants, resorts, and golf courses.

If you enjoy fishing but want a break from Whitefish Lake, you'll find dozens more lakes
and streams within minutes of your door. For world-class flyfishing, there's the Brule and
the Namekagon. (And, on certain summer evenings when the hatch is on, you'll even find
great flyfishing back home on Whitefish.) Nearby, you'll also find lakes that are renowned
for musky, pike, walleye, bass, or panfish.

If you're a hunter, this area is known for deer, bear, turkey, grouse, and waterfowl. Within
minutes, you'll find abundant public and paper company land that's open for hunting.

No matter what your passion, you'll find ample opportunities for outdoor recreation. If you
like, I'd be glad to tell you more about local options for birding, paddling, biking (both
road and mountain), cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, ATVing, or just going for a drive
to check out the fall foliage.

And, if you're most looking forward to simply watching the sun set over the
water while you enjoy a glass of fine wine... Then there's no better place than
the deck of your new home on Whitefish Lake.
